Helpful Hints for Parents:
1. Make it your business to be informed.
2. Ask the teacher what is expected of your child:
*Schedule a conference
*Review teacher's homework policies and classroom management plans
3. Help your child get organized.
4. Help your child to develop good study habits.
5. Provide a set time and place for homework.
6. Make sure your child has an assignment book (student planner or agenda book) and fills it out on a daily basis.
7. Keep in touch with the teacher concerning progress on a regular basis.
8. Make sure your child is working to their potential.
9. Make sure your child has Algebra by the eighth grade.
10. Make sure your child has competent writing skills.
